No light on 04' clock anymore..what happened??

I don't know what happened, but I put the dash back together and while driving the car this evening I noticed that the clock no longer is lit when my lights are on (actually it now never lights up). The clock still works, so I can't figure out for the life of me what happened to the light.

I am going to rip apart the clock shroud and stuff this weekend, but wanted to get some information from the rest of you before getting too deep into it and finding out that i'm missing something.

Is this an easy fix? Is the bulb easily changed out, or do I actually have to go buy another 'Infiniti' clock? I am sure all the cables where plugged back together (since the clock appears to still work).

Thanks,
Johnny

is the clock/light one unit (use only one connection together ) if they are then the clock works and the light doesnt... then the light went out... but if they have two seperate connections then you need to isolate the problem to the light its self

Just had this happen to my 03 a few weeks ago. First, one half of the clock was dark, now, totally dark. Pulled the clock last week and found there are two little LED bulb in twist-in sockets that light the clock. My clock still works so I can only assume the LEDs have gone out, but I can't remember the last time I had one LED fail, let alone two of them.

When I get around to replacing mine, I'll post the outcome.

Are you sure they are LEDs? It seems to me that they were actually little bulbs with yellow covers on them. These bulbs are sensitive to vibration, and can easily be damaged if you take the clock out of the car and arn't careful with it.

they're not LEDs.. they're regular Incandescent bulbs. You can change them to LEDs though.

on a side note.. you know they're really cheap on the interior if they use those. haha only the 05/06 uses LEDs

So out of curiosity what size LED should I be looking to get for this? A link to the LED @ Radio Shack would be ideal

Yeah I also had my '03 clock lights shut off after I did my deck install. The clock still runs but the lights aren't on. Does anyone know if it is one connection or two. I'm hoping it's two and I forgot to plug in the other cause I don't want to hassle with doing the mod for a light to the clock.
