you can't do this. The 05-06 center console have different parts (more parts but easier access to HVAC) than the 03-04 models. We entertained this idea back when the 05's were coming out for the true titanium finish of the 05's vs. the cheapo fragile painted console of the 03-04's. I analyzed the 05 Infiniti Service Manual for the exact parts of the center console and the parts are completely different with all different plastic retaining snaps and screw placements.

You can try and check my posts from 2004 to see where I posted pictures from the 05 service manual. Its been so long since I've logged on here and posted replies but this has been asked. Sorry, hope this helps.

plus, SURPRISE, the 05-06 dashes are painted too, they are just a little nicer quality.
