Break In Speakers????
My friend just had a nice system installed in his truck and the guy told him to take it easy on the speakers and break them in for a month. I never heard of such a thing but I have been outta the custom stereo loop for quite a while. Troo or Boo????

its a wide debated issue...and each side of the argument makes good points.
but onething is true, over the time of usage, the suspension of a sepaker gradually gets looser, changing its Ts parameter, and there for, slightly altering the sound.
whether or not if immedaitely putting the speakre through max power will dramatically lower their life expectancy though, its never been scientifically proven.
but just out of caution, many installers, including myself, will tell the customer to take it easy for at least week, it may not help much, but it sure as heck doesnt hurt right?
