Sorry, not TR-10m TR-7:

http://www.pac-audio.com/products/pr...gger%20Modules

The 6800 requires your car to be stopped in order for the DVd playback to work. It knows when you are "stopped" because you are supposed to hook the "emergency brake sensor wire" coming from the 6800 to the wire in your car that has +12v on it when your ebrake is applied.

If the e-brake sensor wire has +12v on it when the car is started, it does not register this as the car being "stopped." Instead, the ebrake sensor wire has to have +12v given to it 10 seconds after the car starts. Then, it assumes the +12v on the wire is there because you pulled the ebrake handle.

The TR-7 can be programmed to output +12v after X seconds, in this case we would make it 10. This way your setup automatically bypasses the 6800's motion video protection schemes, removing the need for you to flip a switch or do other monkey business.

avic411.com has more good info on pioneer motion video protection schemes and how to get around them.

Thanks man...I guess im going to be getting the pioneer 6800 hu then. Do you mind if i PM in the future asking you about these stuff. I see that you know alot about audio. Also can i hook up the tvnav2go unit to the pioneer headunit? Also is there a way i dont have to install the toggle swich? I don't want to be drilling holes in my dash for the swtich.

I'm probably not gonna install that Tv2Nav, don't need to monitors showing the same thing right on top of each other. Rather I can just use the Nav for the Nav, and the TV screen will be right under it.

Are you sure about it not registering the 12v signal upon start up? If you have manual, when you start your car your e-brake is usually up...

has anyone who has an 06 w/ stock bluetooth been able to get their steering wheel control to work? i believe the steering wheel controls wire back to the stock BT unit and then back to the center console? thus if u take the BT modem out the steering wheel controls wont work....anyone have the 06 wiring diagram?

Pretty sure. check out avic411.com I posted some over there (under username "amthar") and they are making custom circuits which wait 10 seconds. From my understanding the 6800 thinks you've hooked the wire up wrong or are trying to bypass it if there is 12v present at startup. They expect you to undo the break and then re-apply it.

I'm not familair with the toggle switch of the tvnav2go, what does it toggle? What would you want to hook the tvnav2go to the pioneer? So that the movie could be playing on the stock screen along with the pioneer? This would be possible (6800 VIDEO OUT -> tvnav2go VIDEO IN).

You can PM me, I'm not THAT knowledgable about car audiom just enough to be dangerous, steer people in the general right direction, and flame newbs

I'm doing my install of the double din parts, the 6800, the TR-7, the SWI-X and a set of RCAs to the trunk (to my existing JL 500/5 amp) on Saturday/Sunday/Monday. I'm hoping I can get it done Saturday if I start at like 7AM (I think I've secured a garage I can work on it in, that stupid hurricane is coming this way). I'll let you know how it goes.

The Toggle switch is for switching back to dvd & navi. I wanted to do some stealh mod for that but i dont think its possible. It would be dope if i can switch it back n forth with the headunit or something or make it auto switch wen it plays dvd.

OKay Amthar....I got a good idea of what im going to buy

Pioneer 6800 HU w/ SWI-X (Retain steering wheel controls) TR-7 (So i can play dvd while moving). Does that apply to the auto tranny too? Since i don't use my ebrake all the time. Is there anything else im missing in my list? Also when installing the new HU will the my stock speakers still sound the same? SHould i use the amp in the HU to Power my speaker or just use the bose amp?
