Re: nav/tv tuner G35 Coupe
haven't put them in yet.. hopefully next weekend... but it seems the passenger side kick panel can hold the nav/tuner.. the dvd player is another problem... i'd like to have access to it from the cockpit some i'm thinking custom mount in the center console/armrest..... i've seen others do that... but ideally i'd like to move the nav dvd player to the trunk and put this player in that spot... not sure yet... i'm hoping someone with more nav/wiring experience can shed light on that....

i was just about to buy the fd5-tv model from that site when i saw this post. so does the fd5 run well? have you tried dvd discs in it yet? is it true that you can do anything without it skipping? how did you hook that into the nav? thanks for any & all info. B.

Re: nav/tv tuner G35 Coupe
haven't hooked it up yet... but i did test the fd-5 and it runs pretty good.. i tested dvd's, dvd-r's, svcd's, mp3's.... all run just fine... i like the A/V inputs in the front in case i do want to play ps2 or something i can easily hook into it... dunno about the anti-skipping... i suppose i could try running around the room with it pretending i'm a g...
i also just talked to guys over at PAC and they're pretty close to releasing the adapter for our Bose system.... that way we can feed audio directly into the Bose and not have to use the FM modulator or the cassette method... i might just wait for them and do that all at once...

Re: nav/tv tuner G35 Coupe
PAC? how will the adapter work? direct stereo cd sound?
yea, the front AV inputs is def a plus, plus the fd5-tv has a tv tuner. i wonder if anyone has tested that one out yet. where are you gonna put it in the car? i was thinkin maybe under the passenger seat? or in the glove? did you by any chance test out mp3's on a dvdr? they claim that you can hold it upside down and shake it, and it still wont skip. It might be hard to simulate a G, but if you try, take some video ;.p

Re: nav/tv tuner G35 Coupe
The title was "headrest monitors installed". I didn't do a step by step yet. I'm waiting to finish it up. My car is stripped down completely right now. That thread will give some info on the monitors themselves.

Re: nav/tv tuner G35 Coupe
I have installed the AV Electronic unit in my coupe. I put the tuner under the passenger seat and the DVD player hanging in my trunk. I have the Playstation sitting on my rear seat so I can remove or hide it when needed. The TV does not work well because I have tinted windows. I need to get a booster antenna. The sound is not terrific because it is not directly connected to the Bose. It is via FM modulation at 89.1 on your radio. Its not a clean sound. The remote head phones work well. I had to put the rear camera inside my rear window for the reverse. You can disconnect the brake wire to use it while you are driving if you want to risk it. Otherwise your passenger would enjoy it.
