Homelink question

Hey guys...

somehow, my friend who lives in my apartment building got someone to give him the code for the garage and he put it in his Benz's homelink...so all he has to do is press a button to open the garage.

since i don't have the original code or a regular remote garage door opener, i wanted to know if there's any way his car could "transmit" the code and have MY homelink remember it? this one time, we tried getting our cars really close and i tried to get my homelink to memorize a code while he emitted it... but we really had no idea what we were doing and it didnt work.

so i just wanted to know if theres a way we could do this that might work.

thanks!

get another remote, any remote just reprogram it onto the remote from the garage opener ( there should be a button somewhere around the light) then you can use the remote and program your homelink. from car to car won't work you have to be a few inches away.
