USA Spec ipod help!

Finished installing the USA Spec so I could use the ipod. We installed it and it worked. We then instaleld a DVD player to the Av Electronic box and ran the audio to the aux input on the USA Spec device. Instructions said to move dipswitch #1 to the Off position. Which we did and the sound from the DVD player worked.

BUT.....we never rechecked the ipod until today and its not working. It's charging so the unit is powered and running but we get no sound. Its on CD Changer 6 and everything.

Shoudl both the ipod and aux work at the same time? Do I have to change the dipstick everytime i want to change from one to the other? I would think that is pretty dumb. Anyways....any help wouold be great. Thanks

I've been researching the issue for a while, and to answer your question, yes you do have to flip the dipswitch everytime you wanna use the ipod

Thats the stupidest thing I have ever seen. They expect us to mount that white box in the cabin? Terrible. They give you the aux option but make it a bitch to go back and forth. Jeeeeeeez

no i think you are both wrong. i have the usa spec and i have the tvandnav2go installed. i have both dipswitches set to off because i want to control my ipod regularly. now the dvd player will run off of cd 6 and the ipod will run off of cd 5. that is how mine works and everything works fine. it should tell you everything you need to know in the usa spec manual that you got when you bought it.
