Infinity Kappa 62.5i 2way 6.5" Speakers
Infinity Kappa 62.5i 2way 6.5" Speakers
(Infinity Kappa 62.5i 2way 6.5" Speakers)
Since no one responded to my post, does anyone know if these are good speakers and if they will fit the stock locations in the sedan? Also, I found them for around $70 for a pair on ebay. Is this a good deal?

Ok gdupg35, here is your reply...
I was gong to put these Infiniti Kappa in for my rear-fill... but I have gone All Soundstream... but my installer said these are good decent speakers... I think one member here has it installed and check my350z.com, quite a few ppl installed them...
As for whether it will fit the sedan stock location, I don't see why it wouldn't fit, I have the coupe, can't help you there.....

I don't know. I haven't heard them. Have you heard them? Do you like how they sound? Sound Quality is very subjective. so it's hard to describe how "good" a speaker is.
Also, without knowing what other speakers you are or will be running, whether there will be a subwoofer, what kind of amp, external active crossover or passive or the amp's crossover, are you looking for SQ or for SPL? Competition or personal pleasure? What kind of music, how loud, etc.
Even with all of this info, the only real answer is ..if you can, listen and see if you like them. If you can't , search as many places as you can to get opinions/comparisons and take a leap of faith.
Oh, btw, Googlegroups.com can be a useful place to search for info from a variety of sources.

Re: Infinity Kappa 62.5i 2way 6.5" Speakers
Thanks for the responses. I'm just looking for something better than the Bose and the stock speakers. I'll be running an Alpine 300 Watt 4 Channel Amp to the door speakers.
I'm also running 2 Soundstream 12's with 800 watts to each speaker.
I'm not looking for competition quality, just good quality and the ability to keep up with the subs.
Thanks Again!

DON'T buy off the internet. How do you know if they sound good?
I would listen to: MB Quart, Planet Audio, Focal and forget the big names like BOSE, Infinity, Polk etc. They all sound about the same to me.

The thing is I can get speakers for less than half of what those retail schmoes want for them. Good idea to listen to some first though. Then I'll just get them cheaper elsewhere.
