Programming
Having problems programming the HomeLink to open my garage. I follow all the steps in the manual and the light blinks and flashes like it's supposed to, but when I try it out, the button I programmed won't open the garage. Also, I've been trying to program my seating position. I follow the instructions, but when I finish and test it out by moving the seat into another position and then pressing 1, nothing happens. Can anyone help me out with this?

Re: Programming
The instructions are a little 'fussy' but go over them again. With the HomelinK: If you have a rolling code system you'll have to push the 'learn' button (at the appropriate time as described in the owners manual) to finish the programming. Openers bought in the last few years have this rolling code system for better security. Check out the door opener manual for details- but you can usually tell you have one by the presence of that 'learning button' at the head of the opener.
The seat memory is a little easier: First make sure your tranny is in park (6M/T in Neutral hand brake on) with engine running (or ign. on) Adjust the seat controls as desired, then push 1 for a second then set. (or is it Set for a second then 1?) Do the same for 2.
Confirm settings by first changing an adjustment then (again with tranny in Park and engine on) push 1 (or 2) for memory.
Going on my 'memory' here now cuz I sold Sedan ......good luck..........

Re: Programming
Had the same problem with my seat programming but all you have to do after you go through the steps is hold the preset buttons for just a fraction longer and the memory works. You can't just push and release quickly. I felt like a real dope after I went back to the dealer with this problem and all he did was hold the preset button a little longer and the seat worked like magic!
