Another question/post about the tv tuner install
OK, when I arrive home today, the nav-tv tuner should be waiting for me. I was wondering if anyone had any instructions on taking apart the dash/console to install the unit. I'm sure it's posted somewhere, but I was not successful in my search in this forum. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks-

Re: Another question/post about the tv tuner install
Thanks everyone. I am almost done, but have one more thing to do. I need find the fm antenna so I can attatch the loop wire for the sound. Where did you connect this? I was expecting to se the one prong antenna connection in the back of the stereo, but I did not see it? Did you connect it somewhere else? I don't even know where the antenna is on these cars. Please assist.

Re: Another question/post about the tv tuner install
The antenna wire for Nissan/Infiniti vehicles is different than the standard antenna wire. It's the black plug that has two terminals on it. You need an antenna adapter wire to convert the Nissan antenna wire to standard. You need both the male and female versions so that you can put the FM modulator inline. You can find both at a Best Buy or Circuit City.

Re: Another question/post about the tv tuner install
Thanks Alan! I went out to Best Buy and bought the parts I needed. It's all hooked up. Unfortunately, I really dont get any channels clearly. Is there a way to boost the signal to the antenna? Anybody have any suggestions?

Re: Another question/post about the tv tuner install
I doubt any one has used it, I personally didn't even bother installing the antenna. There are no channels around here that are worth even trying to get in and reception is horrible. What we really need is Sat TV. But the only ones tht I have seen look like lugage carriers so until they are as small as the Sat Radio antennas I think were SOL
