help installing PAC tr-7

I am trying to install a PAC TR-7 with my Alpine IVA-200 so far with no luck. I didn;t quite understand the fact that it was pre-programmed out ofthe box for video override for alpine so i went ahead and programmed it.The programming part seemed to go ok. The LED flashed twice to let me know it was set to mode #2 which in the instructions says its the alpine video override mode. However when i turn on my alpine unit it will not play DVD video or allow me to enter the other setup mode. When the unit first turns on the LED on the TR-7 lights up but then turns off after a second. I used a test light and as long as the the LED is on the blue wire is sending out a signal but it stops sending as soon as the LEd turns off. If anyone can give me some insight here i would be eternally grateful as i have tried almost everything.

-thanks

Make sure the white wire is connected to the hand brake input of the Alpine. Green wire should be connected to remote output of the W200.

the white wire is connected to the yellow and blue wire on the alpine and the blue wire from the TR-7 is connected to the yellow and black wire from the alpine...the green wire is connected to the remote turn on from the alpine.
This to my knowledge is what the instructions say to do, does that sound right ?

I can't remember the Alpine color codes for foot brake vs. hand brake. Is the TR-7 hooked to a switched ignition for power?

These connections are correct. The only other connections you need are black to ground and red to 12V+ accessory.
