great idea
do it it everywhere, the floor panel of the trunk to, the walls, etc.....
BTW
dont bother buying it, used to have an audi a4 a few years back, when i was experimenting with the system i think dynamat ran 90 bucks for around 10 sq. ft....go to any roofing shop and u can get the same stuff without the "dynamat" brand name. a huge roll of 50 sq. ft for about 10 bucks

You should try putting on the truck top area, area where the lock it, the rear fenders, wheel well areas.. Not so much on the floors because the car comes with insulation already and if you can get some under the headliner. BUT cars with the sunroof usually are better re-enforced then those with out. You don't have to cover the whole area, just cut 1ft x 1ft squares then spread out through out these areas unless you have enough to cover everything.

How much does that stuff weigh? I was thinking of getting some just to sound proof the car from the outside winds on the interstate and then the road noise we get from the shocks and what not...Is it light weight where doing the whole floor and panels is going to weigh 10 pounds?
Also, to answer your thread i would take everything out of the car possible and do all the walls and everything..it will also prevent against the loud road noise are cars have.

If you are looking to save money google a product called edead. I used it on my 3 series and it worked great. It was a 1 dollar a sq ft I think. The stuff at home depot or Lowe's has asphalt in it and if you live in a place were it gets really hot then it can melt. The edead stuff is butle just like dynamat.

^^i forgot what it was called, lol. but its in the roofing section as someone mentioned earlier
wait its coming back to me! i think it was called peel n seal or something like that
if its too thin for you then use two layers, its hella cheap. or at least it was 2 years ago when i last bought it.

Yes the stuff similar to the old Dynamat is Peel N' Seal which can be found at Lowe's in the roofing section. that stuff is made of iirc asphalt like the regular dynamat but the new dynamat (xtreme or something like that) uses some other material as the asphalt can melt in hot temps. more research on this topic can be done via google. good luck
