front components

do you guys think one set of good components in the front would be enough? (take out back speakers)

do you have a coupe or sedan...and taking out your speakers is pointless effort, leave them for rear fill. i didnt think rear fill speakers was a big deal until i swapped out my rears, the over all sq improved...

fronts are more than enough for me. adding extra speakers is introducing additional phase cancellations and complications when going for true sound quality. "rear fill" is pretty silly when you think about it. when you go to a concert do you expect the sound to come from behind you or in front of you? additionally, unless you are dealing with special sound processing (5.1 or surround sound) then the rear speakers are just outputting the same signal as the front speakers and introducing additional cancellation. the car audio environment is already hard up enough as it is for sound quality. any professional audiophile will agree.
