Weight reduction by battery & capacitor

So, I tried searching to see if anybody on the forums has done it but couldn't find any actual attempts.

My idea is to use a 8 lb gel battery (12V 12A) and one of those fat audio capacitors as a lightweight replacement for the normal battery. (yeah, I could buy the Braille, but it's comparatively expensive and it wouldn't have the DIY feel)

I know that back EMF from the starter motor "might" cause problems for the capacitor but I was wondering if anybody's heard or seen an install of something like this and would happen to have an opinion on how well it works.

The stock battery is 36lbs.

I replaced it with optima yellow top similar AMP capacity 26lbs.

Saved 10lbs weight.

Did not go with 13lbs battery which has much less AMP capacity.
