Re: remote start

I would recommend it-- mainly because I'm in Indiana, so our summers are hot, and our winters a cold. I had it on my old car, and I absolutely couldn't live without it, so I got it on my G. Don't regret it for a second.

As for 6mt, well, they do make auto-start systems for 6MTs. Not complicated-- just LEAVE IT IN NEUTRAL!! Do a quick search on some Pioneer systems (most of the good ones are subsidiaries of Pioneer now-- Viper, Codealarm, etc.) I'm on the TW-1, but many people have many different ones. Try a quick search on here, too.

Re: remote start

so i have to get a totally new alaram system? I have one more question, if someone wanted to steal my car cant they catch then same frequency that i use to remote start my car? Or somehow by accident someone uses the same frequency an starts my car and do something else to their car, sorta like the cell fone thing when you hear other people talk.

Re: remote start

Doesn't the clutch have to be depressed to start the 6MT, or does the remote start bypass that. If it does bypass it, then I am definitly getting remote start.

Re: remote start

remote start bypasses the clutch. They also have remote starters specifically designed for manual transmissions. They will not start if the car is in gear. I was thinking of going that route, but then I would need to carry around an extra FOB, so I just got the regular remote start and make sure I always leave the car in neutral. However, If I park on a hill, I leave the car in gear. Then I "lock" the keys on my remote fob so I don't accidently remote start it.

Re: remote start

It bypasses the clutch requirement.

Re: remote start

What about the key sensor that doesn't allow the car to start unless the key is in close proximity?
