When you put the cap in, the problem should go away. But it wouldnt hurt to put a yellow top in either. This is odd though, i have 2 12's in my sedan with an 800w amp and i dont have any power loss.

Are you sure that you have the HID's? I know it seems like a dumb question, but they have a regulated power supply, so they should be the very last thing that starts to flicker. Do your interior lights flicker too? I have a JL 450/4 and a 500/1 and mine don't flicker at all. My interior lights dim a little, but thats about it. And I have no cap, just a yellow top.

I was just gonna say that the hids have a seperate power supply so it would be kinda hard to get them to flicker

In that case, it sounds like you need to do some electrical upgrading/grounding, and maybe look at a better battery. Just seems odd...Is that the only amp that you have?

I wouldn't do a cap. All that does is tax your electrical system even more. Waste of time and $$ IMHO. Go for a battery first. Honestly though, it seems like you have a deeper problem. There are plenty of people on this forum who are pulling way more current than that with no problems. Myself included.

Yeah man, like my last post stated, I think you might have a deeper problem. Have you brought it to the dealer? I am wondering if you alternator is going bad. Another thing to try is upgrading the "Big 3". Do a search, and you'll find some info on it.
