Need advice on upgrading speakers
Ok so the holidays are coming and i wanna treat myself to an early Christmas present. I've been doing alot of forum reading and i've decided to go with a JL 10W6v2 sub and 4080 combo. Im getting the 500/1 JL amp to power it. .
I want to eventually replace my stock speakers, not that i dont like them but I know that getting aftermarket speakers can drastically improve my sound. I have the bose premium sound. I dont know jack about speakers but i know that if i do buy them i should get 6 1/2" or 6 3/4" to fit in our cars right? Now whats the deal with component speakers vs "normal" speakers. If i do decide to upgrade the speakers to i need to get another amp besides the 500/1 im using for the sub?
...yea told you I dont know sh*t about sound systems hahaha.
P.S. My rents are buying me my speakers for Xmas(how cool is that??). Hmmm any speaker recommendations/advice is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Ed
