I just installed my USA Spec last week that I just got from Crutchfield and it worked great with my old Ipod Photo. But then I tried to use my new 30gb Ipod Video (the most recent ones) with Ipod firmware 1.2 and the USA Spec doesn't seem to recognize it or even charge it. It works fine with my old Ipod but not the new...I have to use the Aux cable with the new Ipod. Anyone know if the USA Spec is supposed to work with the new Ipod Videos?

It may be that my ProClip isn't letting it attach all the way so I will try to take the adapter out from the ProClip and attach it that way and see.

 

I think your best bet would be to contact USA SPEC and ask them.

 

My 30gig ipod video worked just fine with the USA Spec adapter

 

Do you have the new ones with firmware 1.2. You can check your firmware by going into your ipod menu and selecting About.

 

I just replied on my other thread. I am running version 1.2 on my 30 gb Video and everything works fine with the USA Spec.

 

NVM. I figured it out...the old ipod easily went into the proclip docking setup I have and when I was trying out the ipod video it was in the dark and it didn't fit all the way in. It required me to hold the bottom and pressing on top of the ipod to get the ipod all the way into the dock. Thanks anyways. Sorry to waste your time.
