ok just about to get my g35 and i want to install a new head unit and some subs and amp. I looking to go with Kicer L7 12 and a kicker amp unsure about the head unit but i want to keep the bose speakers but in the past i have notice if you intsall subs with stock spearkers there isn't a good sound but unsure about the bose does anyone know how this will sound like if so im going to do it but if the bose suck they are coming out

 

Will your car have a nav system? if not, then you can get a double din dash in order to install a new hu. As far as keeping the stock speakers, that would sound pretty bad. The speakers are not high quality by any standard so they will degrade the sound of your new system. Good luck

 

new system? He's not getting a system. He's adding a subwoofer. It will sound exactly the same as it does now but with more bass. If you are happy with the mids and highs as they are then there is no reason to switch speakers.
Now if he was going to switch HU's, add highs and sub amps, processors (which is a system), then yes I would upgrade the mids and highs as well.

 

Well he stated that he will change the bose speakers out if they suck, which they do. Also he is getting a "system" since he said he wants to get a HU, subs, and amps. that is considered a new system. Read his post carefully and you will see what i mean.
