Wiring Harness

Wiring Harness
Hey guys, I live in a small town that doesn't have a ton of audio shops, but I do have a friend that works at one. I told him I wanted to get an Avic Z1 into my 2004 G35 and he was going to look up some stuff and let me know a ballpark figure.
Anyways, I ran into him yesterday and he said that he couldn't find any sort of wiring harness to plug the Avic Z1 into the stereo system. I'm new to most of this so I don't know exactly what he's referring to, but I told him that I knew a lot of people have done similar things online (here) and never saw that mentioned as an issue at all so I'd be surprised if there wasn't something easily available.
My plan is to buy all the necessary parts on my own and just get the shop to install them. Any idea what he's talking about? Is he clueless? Do I need to just not even try this since I don't have a shop around here used to working on a G35?

-A/C controller http://www.grubbsperformance.com/Mer...e=G35CoupeDash
-Metra Nissan Antenna Adapter to connect the factor antenna http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Metra...oductDetail.do
-Scosche NN03B wiring harness http://www.cardomain.com/sku/SCONN03B
-Scosche SLC4 to convert your speaker out so that you can connect to the Bose. I don't think it is necessary. However, it really filters out a lot of the background noise.

-SWI-PS to retain your steering wheel interface. However, I am not sure if it is compatible with the AVIC-Z1. You may want to go ahead and get the Pioneer steering wheel interface instead.

or get a Pioneer CD-SR1

You could try to do it yourself. Just give it a good days work if this is the first time doing it.
