Sound System

Let me know what you think and what I should change.It is for a coupe.

Alpine PDX 1.1000 mono amp
Alpine PDX 4.150 4 channel amp
2 JL 10w6v2
2 4080 box's
1 set of Polk SR component Speakers
Alpine IVA-W200 DD screen

i would run 1 sub and for components pay a little more and get some boston pros or jl xr or zr components

running one sub is cool, but why do you recommend swapping to lesser sounding speakers? The SR IMO is one of hte nicest sounding speakers around, and easily better sounding than boston pros or jl xr or zrs to most people years and at about 900 bucks a pair, NOT cheaper than those you suggested

it looks good, the key is to get a good install, installed properly, your set up will shine and sound great

didnt much care for the polk components but sound is all subjective, i have boston pros and jl's in my setup...

i dont care much for polks either, but the MR line up is truly great, designed and helped built by Vifa, if you know hi-fi sound then you should know what vifa stands for

you should take a listening demo on the MR series of speakres

Would a standard rear facing wood box sound better than 2 4080 boxes facing each other?

thats a hard question, while logic may say a rear ward facing box usually gives more bass, it is completely dependant on the car, the equipment, and the install and tuning, but from experience when i have used the 4080 box with decent subs, they have turned out pretty nice sounding even with one
