Bottom line the debating is endless but here is my well rounded TWO CENTS:

Passport X50 IS best if you don't want to spend the extra $100 for the V1's marginally improved performance.

The only real difference between the two, is that the V1 gives you Directional info on the source of the Radar and also tells you when there are multiple radar detections where as the Escort Passport X50 does neither. The V1 also has better Laser detection LIDAR but that really does you no good.

SO THE SIMPLE ANSWER IS

V1 or Passport X50 are the best, the V1 is marginally better and 30% more expensive. Make your own decision, go with one of those, anything less would be uncivilized.

The Valentine 1, X50, and RX65 will all do the job.

ya...i'm thinking about doing a laser jammer.... 16 years old in a G my insurance will be high enough already. better to spend 800 in protection than to give more f***ing money to this crappy government and increasing my premiums. i am thinking about doing that x50 combined with the standalone diffuser from passport. then just get southwest infiniti to install it since they sell it anyway.

Or you could spend the $800 on mods and just slow the F**K down!

Yeah, I know, I was the same way at 16. I had four tickets by the time I had my licence 3 months. They didn't hit you as bad then. I got a 30 day supention. I did it again when I was 18, got my licence suspended for 90 days. My girlfriend had to drive us to the prom.

not gonna rank that your 16 - cause im only 20 and drive a g as well, but it seems your making very unrational statements......

Ive had 2 speeding tickets, in 2 years.....and its been almost a year since i decided to slow the puck down... it works lol.

If you mod your car appearance wise, no radar jamer/detecter will protect you from the ******* cop that will tag 5-10 mph just cause it seemed you where going faster than the other's. If you stay stock body.....just keep it 10 over speed limit max, but then again, why speed =\

Correction - the Passport does tell you if there are multiple signals, just a) only in expert mode, and b) think the limit is two or three per band.

What is expert mode? i know its there but i never use it... i've thought about it. does it decrease false alarms and increase detection or anything. thanks

it's when you can see on the LCD display Ka, K, and X band all at the same time if more than one is detected. it also shows you the detected strength, as the previous poster correctly mentioned, up to 3 per band.

imo, arrows aren't worth 100 something extra bucks. police radar can track more than one target at a time. wherever the source of the radar is, you're vulnerable.
