Radar Detector Stories
HAHA, YES! I was waiting to share this story.
The other night my buddy david and i were out driving around (he has a VW 1.8T golf and of course i have my G
) just because we like to cruise around town nothing else to do and we both enjoy to drive so hey why not go cruising??? Well we are on US41 in sarasota heading south when a BMW 325CI pulls up next to us and wants to race. Normally i would not race on the street, but it was getting late and there was no traffic in front of me so whatever (we all do it one time or another). David floors it and the BMW floor it so im like what the hell go from 4th to 3rd using tiptronic and floor it...im gaining like hell on both of them, both david and the BMW are side by side i end up passing them by the time i hit 100 (we started at 60). Next thing i know i look down and im doing about 145 give or take in a 40 MPH zone so im like WHOA 
i look in my side view for a second and i see that i have atleast 6 cars on david and the BMW. I start to slow down and i get to about 100 and i let off the brakes for a second to let them cool down before i start to slow down more...at this point we are all neck and neck again and we are all slowing down. All of the sudden my radar starts to beep so i hit the brakes pretty damn hard look down and im doing about 60 now i look next to me and the BMW had slowed down just as fast as i had meanwhile david is probably at 80MPH or so and he is slowing down. The radar was going bat **** at this point and i see this cop running over to his car...first though **** im getting pulled over. I see the cop car comming up on us hard without his flashers on so i signal into the right lane and then i see his lights go on im like ****...so i continue driving normaly when he goes flying past me and pulls david over. I had a radar and the BMW had a radar david = no radar. He ended up getting clocked i believe for doing 30 MPH over, but the cop said their was some new law passed were he would have to go to court so he gave him a ticket for doing 25MPH over (this way he wouldnt have to go to court over the holiday). BMW pulls up next to me and the guy was screaming out the window HOLLY ****...HOLLY ****...HOLLY **** i just kind of laughed and pointed to the radar and he gave me a thumbs up.
