Aftermarket Gauges ideas

I am going to add a few gauges that infiniti didn't include, oil pressure being one of them. I want to use one that uses an electronic sender of course, but where on this motor could I tap in to utilize one? I know the 350z has one but i'm sure it's done through the ECU somehow. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Dude.. it's only been 3 hours. Everyone's still at work, and many of them actually do their jobs instead of watching these boards. Check back later this evening, and again tomorrow, and someone may answer.

Re: Aftermarket Gauges ideas

You obviously have some sort of personal problem with me, becuase this board is really active during the day. Sorry you're a little jealous that I can make good money and "browse the forum all day"

How can you talk when you in fact sit here and babysit a messageboard all day?

Re: Aftermarket Gauges ideas

he has no problem with u. just give it some time. There is no way you will get a good answer back for a least a day or so. Wait for people to get home and then check out there cars and see what they can do. THe bord is most active at night.

I also would like to do an oil pressure monitor. that would be super helpfull.

I'm with Carlos and Ryoken-- the board really does get more active after about 5pm EST, then really kicks up when the suns sets on the West coast. Many people will have a clue, and will give you good suggestions, just be patient...

5ATs suck!

My "drama" sensor went off and it sent me straight to this thread so I had to stir the pot.

Just kidding about the 5AT thing....IMO.

Ok, I'm patient. But insults coming from a moderator insinuating that i'm some sort of lazy *** that doesn't work all day isn't acceptable.

Re: Aftermarket Gauges ideas

I have no personal problem with you or any other member of the forum, nor do I have any cause to be jealous. I think if you check, you'll find I have the 2nd highest post count on this board, and have significantly more time wasted "browsing the forum all day" than most of you. It's that "babysitting" that gives me reason to talk in this case. I'm just saying be patient.. quite often, the answer to your question comes quickly, but sometimes it takes half a day or half a week to get someone knowledgeable to login and read it and respond. Complaining about not getting a response doesn't help, though bumping the thread after a couple days of inactivity can.

Oh, and I wasn't insinuating that you're a lazy ***. That would be me, actually.

Re: Aftermarket Gauges ideas

you could run an oil filter sandwich adapter plate - earl's has one as does Greddy . . . Greddy's has 3 pre-threaded taps - oil pressure and oil temp goes here . . . Earl's plate has 3, actually possibly 4 - but theirs is designed for an in-line oil cooler, so you may or may not add that in the futre
