Dynamat Alternatives?

What are you guys using?
I'd like a more cost effective solution with good dampening and ease of installation.

ou can use peal and seal as he suggested, but its tar based and not as effective nor as wlel sticking nor as good smelling as a butyl based sound deadening.

i use exclusively Edead in my installs...

go here: www.edesignaudio.com and click on edead, there are several versions:

liquid
solid - i suggest v1.se
foam- i use to cover anywehre there is a large gaping hole to span...

but for general G35 needs, v1se is the best since there arent much gaping holes int he door to span

eDead hands down, eDead v1SE² is some good quality stuff and if you are part of the correct forum you can get a discount on top of the good price!

I agree the price is nice...just seeing if I can get the best deal possible. Also, does the V1SE perform just as well as the Dynamat?

This thread came in handy, I was just about to order some dynamat came here to see if anyone knows how much should a coupe owner order cubic feet wise and I saw this thread. I will give eDead a shot since so many people here seem to prefer it.

I have a question, anyone know how much would be needed to cover both doors, full trunk included lid?

Thanks again guys.

Question How much slower?

Hey all,

Since I'm very close to buying some sound deadening material to reduce my exhuast drone (thus adding weight to my G), I was wondering if anyone has any information on how much acceleration I'm sacrificing? If I do the entire car, I imagine I'll be adding about 100-150 lbs....how can I find out what that might do to my quarter mile before I take the plunge?

Thanks,
Brian
