Odd feeling

I just got 2 10w6v2s put in with an alpine 1.1000 amp. It seems like when ever the bass is hitting hard the car starts jolting. Kind of like repeated shift shock. I have a 5AT does anyone know what this could be and what the soulution would be?

it could be that that your system id drawing so much juice that its causing the car to drop in RPMS beucase its severely overloading the alternator...

do this, with eh car on, in park, and bump your bass, look to see if your RPM is acutally droppping during hte big hits...

if this i happening, i suggest you :

1. immdiately seek to get a customer altenator built, i dont think anyone makes a prefab unit for hte Z, but you would want something wtih 200plus amps

2. stop playint hte bass so loud, or you will risk killing your alternator very quickly

The needle was flucuatiating between 1100 and 1200 rpms do you think that requires a new alternator? How much would it cost to have a custom one built and installed? Do you think a good battery would take car of it?

The battery only powers your system while the ignition is off. After the car is running it is your alternator that provides the power to your car. It's drawing too much on your car. Sometimes people will have their lights flicker a little and that can be solved with a capacitor usually.
