Do the new nanos (2nd gen) with the aluminum casing work with the USA spec pa11-nis. I only see threads on the old nanos, and I'm not sure if there's any differences with the outputs on the new nanos (ive heard some accessories for the old nanos dont work on the new). Thanks.

 

I don't have any direct experience, but they are calling them generation 5.5, which makes me assume that they are basically the same as far as software goes.

 

Im more worried about the connectors being different than the software

 

From what I've experianced the connectors have always been the same since the very first ipod

 

Connectors are the same. My son's buddy got a new Nano and it plugged right into my existing connector in the G35.

I can confirm it works as well. I have a gen 2 nano.

 

i also can confirm that it works. i just bought the 2nd generation nano 8GB in black last week along with the PA11-NIS from Crutchfield. did my own installation last weekend and it works beautifully.
