At first I used the PTY/CAT button too, but it just confused the hell out of me so I dont use it.

If you HOLD the right button I think it skips the song, if you tap it, it will cycle through the menu. If you want to back up a menu you need to go to the cancel option then hit up on the left side. To make a selection inside the menu once again hit up on the left side.

To get to the shuffle setting you need to go into setup, then select either random album or random list. Random album will play a random album all the way through, random list will play a song either from your entire ipod, or if youve selected a playlist it will play it from that.

Just select the album you want to play form the album settings then go to random list.

The random list option will do random songs based on if you are in a certain playlist, album, artist etc.

I don't think this question has been answered yet, but if it has I'm really sorry. I have an 03' G35 coupe that is NOT sat pre-wired. Is there a write up on how to install the sat pre-wire harness?!! I was about to buy the factory adapter until I realized no one had covered this :/

Just ordered the kit for my '06.

Not being able to listen to my Ipod has been killing me!

Quote: does anyone else have the problem of the ipod coming out of random mode when the car is shut off and turned back on? When I turn the car on regardless of how it was before the ipod plays tracks in order instead of random. Anyone know of a fix for this?
Yes same issue..I always have to reset the RANDOM feature on after the cars is "rebooted". I usuallly play my playlists randomly. So everytime I want to do that I have to do two things in my iPod kit(from everythingg35) via the console NOT iPod:
1) Go into Setup (artist, album...setup)
2) Select RDM*List on
3) Select the playlist and good to go.

Two issues:
1) The first RANDOM song is always the same no matter how many times I have played the LIST...simply go to next track
2) When I "reboot" my car (shut down and start up) the last song playing when I shut it down is still playing and it simply stays within the same Artis mode...maybe not a problem

Quote: Alright, I got this thing hooked up in my 03 and working, but the instructions are different from the buttons on the 03 - has anyone compiled a list of what does what?

Maybe I just haven't messed with it enough but I can't figure out how to select a menu item.
Maybe you already have your answer but there is a post
https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...ml#post2844374

That has some instructions...at least for a 2007....
