Aux Input???

I'm sort of confused about this topic. I have searched and have been more confused between the different aux input adapters. I was thinking of connecting a mp3 or carputer to my 06 Sedan. I have the premium package ( 6 disk bose HU), but no NAV or Sat. Is this still possible to get an aux input wire and which would you recommend if i can?

thats exactly it, there is also the USA Spec PA11-NIS which is an ipod adapter with an aux. input. So basically those are your two choices. I personally have the PA11-NIS and am very happy with it, but both give the same end result to your problem

I'll have to go with the PAC AAI-NIS2 since i'm not connecting an ipod. Also, this looks as though it provides two inputs, so once i connect it to the HU, where would i access the inputs from. i think i may have read that you just press the radio button and it will cycle through fm,am, then the 2 inputs?

Did you hook everything properly? The NIS2 has 2 plugs that needs to be securely plugged and the stock ones plugged in parallel. Once these are in, you should be able to cycle through the radio button and select SR1 and SR2.

Most likely one of the plugs is loose. Just check that and you should be ok.

oh and another thing i thought was odd when connecting the aainis2 there was only one plug to plug into it the other slot was empty where the aainis2 connected to/ thats why i thought(think) id had to be sat ready b.c im missing a plug/make sense?

What year is your car? It doesn't matter if you have satellite radio or not. Cycling through the options is just pressing the radio button and changing the source.

As for the plugs, are you referring to the box itself or the the wire harness?

ah its so hard to describe but when i plug the aainis2 into the back of the headunit theres only one plug that plugs back into the harness (so aainis2 is plugged in with the 2 inputs/ but only one is connected back into the aainis2/ so the aainis2 has a port unused(its the smaller one)

which plugs are you talking about?

It's been almost a year since I did my install, but I remember using all the plugs.
