Does anyone know how many amps the stock alternator runs at? I am going to be running 2 300/2 and 2 500/1 JL Audio Amps. I have a optima yellow top battery and a 15 Farad Alumapro capcitator. I am not sure if i need to upgrade my alternator also. Please let me know what you think.

Re: stock alternator?
Which yellow top model number do you have. Do they make the yellow top with reverse polarity? Or do you have it in addition to your stock battery. Thanks.

Re: stock alternator?
The service manual has the stock alt. at 110 amps. I had mine tested at a battery shop at 126 at about ~2500 rpm. You should be fine with what you have right now. I'd try it without the alumapro first because you may not even need that.

Re: stock alternator?
you want the 34 series in with the R (which means reversed). In the red top, it is the D34R. Not sure about the yellow top.
