need some quick sirius factory unit help

i'm in the middle of installing my factory unit and i'm running into some trouble.

first of all, i seem to be missing a few pieces, or the unit has changed since the install instructions were printed. i don't have the two piece adapter cable that fits the antenna. mine just has the regular prong that fits a standard antenna. i'm figuring that is o.k.. however, i am missing the grounding wire. do the new units not require grounding?

also, the trunk configuration is completely different. all i had to do was remove all the carpet, and the spare tire. then, one nut that held down plastic covering and that was it. upon getting to the wires, it seems that the factory connector is very, very short. i will have trouble mounting the unit in the way it was described to be mounted.

any suggestions, confirmation or aid is greatly appreciated.

You can make your own ground. If you need that 2 peice wire connector thingy, I can sell you one. Install is fairly simple and very easy to do.

my unit did not come with a ground. the harness is short but you have to make sure you have the correct side facing up. i printed the instructions from here and it doesn't say anything about a ground either : http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=284 i did not put my antenna on the roof. instead i opted for the rear deck and slid it up agains the far back coner (centered) against the glass. it antenna is the smaller version too so it does not stick out like a sore thumb. if you have any more questions, feel free to pm me. i just put mine in after x-mas. hope this helps.
