Well I concidered installing my own Alpine DD headunit and system. Now I'm no Guru, but I really think I can do that part of it myself and save some money. The only thing that has me thinking about getting it professionally done is that I want to add the steering wheel module and the the bypass module for the dvd, but I don't know how hard that part will be with all the wires involved. Can anyone confirm the difficult level of these items or point me to a write up or maybe should I go ahead and pay to have it done? Opinions?
If you're going to have that part of it professionally done you might as well have them do the entire installation. Either way they'll have to take your dash apart and put it back together. If you can strip, splice, and connect wires and you're not colorblind you should be able to complete the installation yourself.

I know how to solder, but when it comes to that other stuff I don't know what you are referring too.
It's in the directions for the PAC SWI-ALP on PAC's website. It's pretty easy. Make sure you refer to the G35 specific instructions. If you know how to solder then you should be good to go.

Well I guess thats what I'll do.... I just can see paying to have it done. I'll assume since no one has posted a link that there isn't a right up on here for this. Maybe I'll put one together.
