static after double din install

static after double din install
i just installed my clarion max675vd yesterday. it looks great and plays great. only problem is, now i have static when i turn my volume low or when there is no sound at all. i have to turn it up loud just to get rid of the static. i still have the oem bose speakers. i've heard when you mess with your headunit u will get static. does this mean i have to get an aftermarket amp?
