Double din is acting up

I have an older clarion max 675vd double din.. When I push the back button on the lcd screen it doesn't do anything, what controls that?? The board behind the screen?? Dunno if I can find replacement parts or just have to buy a new dd..

I would by a newer/better one, but that's me. I look at a failed part as a chance to upgrade.

it sounds like the digitizer is toast. This is what you will need (http://www.pacparts.com/part.cfm?sku=930780648877), if you can find it. then it's up to you to tear the unit apart and fix it. Good luck!

I would take into account what Hatchman said, and look into upgrading. we already know that Clarions are prone to failure as we've seen with our stock radios. I just got done tearing apart my factory radio to fix the dumbest of issues in the 6-disc changer so I could play cd's again. Terrible construction.

I'll add to the chorus. These radios have a lot of common failures that are unrelated, besides poor construction. If you fix one, the others will still be around. Replace it with something aftermarket and save yourself the troubles down the road.

Well, he's already got an aftermarket, but I do agree with you!

Yeah I usually do too.. I just have so many other projects going on with my car right now.. I'll probably just live with it now and get a new new one down the road..
