Why is my speaker humming?

It has been really cold lately and tonight after work I get in my car and put my faceplate on my stereo, a few seconds later the music starts, but I here something different. At first I think there is something wrong with my exhaust, and then I realize it is my front driver side speaker.

I have MB Quart QSD's hooked up to a Phoenix gold amp. The speaker is sending out a constant low frequency and won't stop.

Any audio experts out there know what the problem is and how to fix? Is it because it is really cold, a crossover problem, or amp problem?

Thanks in advance for any input as to the problem.

hmming usually is caused by one fo the following:

1. bad connection, on the signal side, check to see if the RCAs are pluged in right in both the HU and the amp

2. Bad RCA cable, see if its cut and rubbing anywhere

3. bad input stage on the amp, wiggle the rca cable connection on the amp see if it makes any difference

4. bad output on the HU.

if you are describing a constant hum, the times i have heard it is whent he amp turns on, but no signal is coming into the amp from the headunit, and within certain conditions, it will jsut sitthere and humm

it could be the weather causing issues with it...

Now it is not humming. It was fine for a while and now there is too much bass coming from the left front speaker. The speaker on the other side is fine, but there is 10 times more bass coming from the left. This is driving me nuts.
