Taking sub out for winter

Hey guys,
Although i have my car stored in the garage but i believe i might need to take it out next month. My honda is giving me problems cuz of what i did to it last sunday.
Anyways back to the topic, is it bad for the sub, speakers to have it played loud when its cold outside? I was told by someone to take out my sub during the winter.

thanks
Manbir

uh, no.

its not bad for it. any speaker WILL perform differently at different temps but its not going to break.

i've never heard of such things. loudspeakers are mechanical devices so temps could affect them theoretically but it'd have to be REALLLY ****in cold (like immersed in liquid nitrogen) in order to crack the speaker. if its a cheap *** piece of **** i suppose anything is possible.
