the priecf sounds about right to be honest, if they can do a good job then its about right...

i can definetly do a set up around the same cost that would sound nad look better, but for a normal retail store its not bad

where are you located?

this G35 i am currently doing will porbably sound and look a bit better than what you will be running and total cost is about the same as what you got quoted

lol oh yea. jl is good but way over priced. lots of other stuff that is just as good for a much better price. if u r still gonna go the JL route id suggest buying the stuff online and having them install it. ebay is soooo much cheaper. try onlinecarstereo.com also. they have pretty good prices too.

by better i mean it will sound better through better speakers, and other equipment, and by looking better i mean prolly a more custom and cleaner set up.

but again, the MOST IMPORTANT thing is the job is done correctly, if a quality install job, nothing fancy is performed, then 4500 is about right, if its a hack job...then....

i have done several cars int eh 4500 dollar budget range that honnestly, IMO, would really be superior in sound qualityto the set up you mentioned...but again, i am empahsizing that i am a ltitle cheaper than most normal shops

here are a few examples of some installs i have done in that range: and the price includes all equipment, all wiring and materials, all labor:

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/103270-newest-g35-install-done-pics.html

tis one is a little more but it does contain a avic-Z1

Too much is a vague, very vague question. It's only too much if you don't have it to spend or if it is not properly installed. I spent more than that but it was in my comfort zone. I was familiar with my shop & installer having had a few cars done there before. I suggest you have the shop show you some of their work, talk to a few of their clients before you commit. In general, that price is fair for the equipment you listed.
