new sub ideas?

I have been considering rebuilding my sub system and would like some input from the professionals. I have (2) JL Audio 12w6v3 in a ported box, rear firing. I like the system, it is very clean and loud. I was at a stereo shop regarding another vehicle and the installer (not the sales guy) said he could re-install the sub system, placing the speakers front facing (angled toward the ski boot). He said it would be considerably louder, which I would like.

Any thought about the louder capability of a system firing foward and through the ski boot?

My second question is what speakers should I go with if I do this? Any recomendations? I could use the JLs but I'm open to other subs.

Thanks.

I checked out the site, it will be hard to find a place that carries RE Audio for a demonstation. I still looking, anyone else have any suggestions?

yea that is very true. i just recommended them because i read a bunch of stuff about how insane their subs are. i would say get an apline type x. they sound great and are resonably priced. you could always upgrade to the w7's though they are really expensive. like i said in my other post u could get the L7, its a really loud sub.

I'll be able to trade in my w6s to offset the cost of w7s. I'll look into the Alpine & L7. Thanks for the input.
