Another "What Amp to go with my Sub"?
Another "What Amp to go with my Sub"?
Since it seems like everyone is asking these type of questions, and are getting some good responses. i'll ask too.
i got a 10" JLw3v2 2 ohms. in a custom ported box, so i'm looking for an amp that came make at least 400rms at 2ohms and has a low frequency rating around 20hz or lower. i know JL500/1 but i can't afford that right now.... any help? thanks

Yea, even if i had a 1000 bux to blow, i definatly wouldn't blow it on a subwoofer amp. i blew my Kenwood kx600.1, thats 600rms amp going into a 300rms sub, so i guess the little 10" is pretty strong.. looking for an amp that retails around 2-300..
I ahd the same sub in a proted box and had a Phoenix Gold Octane 8:0.1 pushing it. 600 watts RMS and 800 peak. It was more than plenty and very clean sounding. Only cost me around $200.

+1 and add another sub because the 1000/1 will fry your sub but really alls you need is a good tuned 500/1
