yeah, it comes off with the normal snaps, the amp is hwat attaches securely to the seat, the front cover comes off in seconds...when you need to access the amp

i see. i was referring to the original back panel on the rear seat though. the piece you have to remove to find good amp mounting points. thanks

thats hte same panel that still comes off, the coveringpanel pieces is attached to that panel, so when it ocomes off, the back stock panel comes off wit hit, exposing the guts of hte seat and the amp...

that install looks great. I may have to try and so something similar in my car for the mounting of the amps. when i got it they had 2 amps just mounted to the back to the seat and they keep pulling out. Was never keen on it, but I didnt do the install myself. Now you have just given me a really good way of mounting them more solid.

I just bought an alpine MRP-M500 500 watt amp to go with my 10inch JLW3 sub in a 4080 box. The amp is tiny...its 10x11x2 inches. Can I just screw the amp directly into the seat or do I need to modify it like you did?
