So I have the SWI-X wired up, I use it to control my AVH-6800. When I first start the car, it works. It may even work for the next 15 minutes or so. Then after a while (15+ or there abouts) it stops working. Strange eh?

My first thought was maybe I programmed it when the car was off or in accessory mode or when I had JUSt started it, so maybe the voltage was going all over the place and that might affect the readings it gets. But I recently purchased an Escort 9500i radar detector which has the option to display the current car voltage, and the readings (although far from scientific) don't seem to bear this theory out.

Any ideas? Maybe it overheats and poops out after some time? Maybe it is the voltage?
