Stock HU w/ new DAC?
Does anyone know if the stock bose HU can be modded to accept an aftermarket DAC? So i can just use the changer as a transport. That would allow me to avoid buying the double din and a new hu... thoughts?

i don't think this is even feasible. Even if you can do it, not worth the effort. Mind as well just buy a new HU instead.
The countless hour to spend on how the signal are feed. Then you would need to buy a DAC. The DAC alone probally gonna cost more than the HU. For example, i got the alpine pxa 700, it cost 700 dollars. This is just a processor.
I don't think there is any other way except to stick with stock HU and upgrade the amp and speaker. The other solution is to get the double din.
