Upfiring box for coupe?

Hi, I was wondering how a ported upfiring box for a JL 12W6v2 sub would sound if I remove the rear 6x9's? In general, how would upfiring boxes sounds in a G35 coupe? I want to run a ported enclosure so a pre-fab box such as the 4080 is out of the question. I already have the sub from my previous vehicles, so I am not going to change it. Thanks.

Search some of 16psibrick's posts, he does alot of false floor installs with upfiring subs, so they should sound fine. You may want to consider a backfiring ported box that fits betwen the wheel wells in the trunk instead

^^^ thanks for the reply... Sometime down the line I will be doing a custom setup but for now, I just want a simple setup. I would like to do rear firing but I don't think I have enough space for the 12 without removing the spare.
