Does the PAC SWI-PS Steering Wheel Audio Control Interface work with the AVIC D3? I was just curious before I start another spending spree. Thanks guys.

 

it should since the d3 is pioneer and the swi-ps is for sony and pioneer hu's.

 

Sorry dont mean to jack this thread, but i need to see some pics of the d3 in 05-06 G. Has anyone installed this unit yet? I really need to see how it looks before i buy one. Thanks guys.

 

I am waiting on my double din kit I bought here @ g35driver classifieds before I buy the D3. I should be able to post pics shortly.

I had the unit for a while sitting in my garage. I just finished my installation last night. I will try to post the pictures tonight.

I want to pull the trigger with the D3 but I'm hearing bad reviews on it. I hear the navigation totally takes you off course. making you driver more than you would have to in some locations. someone said that the directions the D3 were giving would add an extra 100 miles than the normal route causing the driver to go through a lot of useless driving.

 

I have the D3 in 2 cars, IS300 and G35. They both work great.
If the Speed Sensor is not hoooked up properly thats when things go wrong with the routing and the navigation. Just make sure that wire is hooked up properly.

But i have having problems with the PAC unit. I can't get it to program right.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking into getting this same unit for my G35, but I have a few questions as well. I wanted to install another monitor where the factory navi goes, maybe a touch screen but wanted to know if it was even possible to use a touch screen monitor with this or any other navi unit. And if I works, is there a way I have have the top monitor show the maps from the navi on it, can I send that singal to the top monitor. I was looking at the lcd screen monitor they sell on mp3.com , they have two different type, one is touch the other isn't.
