AC Problem and Stereo

My AC will not turn off at all its ON all the time and none of the buttons work when pressed (no lights are lit either). Also my stereo will not turn on any more. Any suggestions on what it can be?

2003 Sedan G35 auto.

My radio won't work if the defroster is on. I wonder if it's related to your problem...

2003 Sedan G35 auto.

2 possibilities:
radio circuit board
radio headunit
one of them is bad, but i would say its most likely the circuit board because its a 03. take it to the dealer as some particular VIN ranges in the 03 models qualify for a discount on replacing the board because they've had so many faulty boards in 03s

You can disconnect your batt terminal for 30 mins or so and the whole thing resets. you can then manually turn off the AC. the stereo can be turned on/off using your steering wheel

Radio

Did some searching and most of the time its the radio, and if your
warrantee is over they will stick it to you with a refurbished one for
200$, don't you just love those DEALERS. Actually my local garage
can get the same deal but its only 100$

The same thing happened to my 03 sedan. They replaced the circuit board and then the entire radio.

GIHDMR2,

I have a similar issue on my 03 Sedan...But when I turn on the rear defogger/defroster my radio goes to static.

Any ideas guys? Does this sound like the same "board" issue?

I've just started experiencing the same symptoms today on my 03. Radio still works and can be controlled by the wheel. AC works but can't turn off or adjust since none of the buttons seem to respond and no illumination. I was begining to think it was the Usaspec iPod interface that was causing this but it seems others have the same issue.

mine just crapped out today too. At first I thought I was seeing things because Auto AC went on by itself and none of the climate control buttons were lit, stereo was fine. Then the ac lights came on and I was able to turn it off.

Then jumped into the car to go home, stereo and climate lights were off, just the dim back light is on.

I can control the stereo with the wheel though. Time to dump the 03 coupe, my passenger window motor is out too, and clutch pedal won't stop squeaking.

WTF the g37 is about to be officially released. Did infiniti hit the self destruct button on all 03 g35's?

WTF MINE JUST DID THIS TODAY! So what do people do if they replace the radio with an aftermarket one? Of course assuming the circut bourd is ok.

I cant adjust my ac/heater settings and the lights for the radio wont respond or light up. Navigation still works and the stearing wheel radio controls too.
