My Nano install. This is definatly the best location

I installed the USAspec unit and it works like a champ. I have been contemplating where the best spot to keep the ipod would be. It had to be hidden yet easy to access. I wanted to be able to see it anytime Im driving and it was also important to me that it was easy to hide. I wanted to keep the use of all my cup holders and storage spots, since they are so limited.
So I came up wit this spot. it was a bit of a pain in the *** but it worked out great. Please excuses the ghetto looking ipod connector but the end got wrecked during shipping so I had to electrical tape the end. I have another one on the way so it should look better soon.

Haha, that is pretty smooth. Never would have thought to put one in there. How long did it take?

I'm still a G35 noob. How does the iPod interface with the radio, is there an RCA AUX input on the back of the headunit? Does your cable also charge the iPod?

haha, thats so weird. I mounted my bluetooth controls there...gotta love the 'slow decent' motion when you push it.

You have to buy an aftermarket unit that plugs into your stereo. That unit allows the ipod to interface with your CD changer or Sat port. And my unit does charge it.

I have a 'USA Spec PA11NIS'.

It took like 2 hours I had to figure out how it would fit in and be removable. I had it use a dremel to cut away some of the plastic on the right side of the ashtray. It was worth the effort. I really like how easy it is to hide.

And I used the USAspec Unit, it allows you to Charge your ipod as well as play it!
