you are correct about the dual zone button, but i wasn't aware the A/C wouldn't work at all if you didn't have it. where did you hear this from?

it does work without it. you just lose the dual function. someone is giving the wrong info. the jdm ac controller is plug-n-play.

you sure about it working without remapping it??? from what I was told by a few people who've done it, it will not work without the entire system functional...

hman1019: I'd check on all instructions and call around and ask for quotes and pretend like you wanna get installed somewhere and ask them what they have to do and the cost of it...my cousin is at cartoys and he's done a few Gs...call a few different stores and see if the stories add up..

^^yup, the AC system still works, but you lose dual climate.

you liked to get ripped off huh...an alpine f1 status shop in dallas quoted my friend 300 for his install...i guess car toys is just that damn good...

nah...i get all my installs done for free...I replaced the entire sound system to my Z for free...I went out and ordered parts through ebay or wherever, got all the monster cables, focal speakers, headunit, sub, etc...it took a couple days cuz he had to rip out the interior and dash,, but I didn't have to pay for it...
