Reverse and speed sensor taps

Hey all,

I've currently got an Eclipse AVN5435 navi+DVD head unit in my '03 6MT. I'm getting a new tranny installed in a few weeks. The original installer who hooked up my navi system is nowhere to be found, and I want to make sure the dealer doesn't screw up my navi system when putting in the new transmission. Maybe I'm being paranoid here, but I'm trying to get some peace of mind that the dealer won't accidentally disconnect either the reverse or speed sensor taps currently used by the AVN5435.

That said, any idea where I can check to see where the original installer may have wired those two sensors?

Thanks a lot for the advice,
Brian

He would have wired them inside the car.

When they replace your tranny they'll unplug the plugs under the car. You shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Sounds good. I'll probably let my dealer know about the taps, just in case they come across them.

Thanks,
B
