Dual Amp Set up?
Can Anyone give me a Diagram, info or point me to a link that may explain better how to wire a dual amp setup?
I'm running an Alpine Type R setup with a w200 HU. I have a kenwood powering my sub right now and the HU powering my coaxials and components. I will be getting Alpine F450 for the Highs and M450 for the Sub. Right now I have 4G power wire ran to my amp.
How will I need to run wires for two amps? (Power, Audio, Remote Wire)
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Get a splitter for the power.
Ground as usual.
Connect the remote wire from amp1 to amp2.
You can split your rca's with y splitters, or run a 2nd set from your
head unit if you have that option. The 2nd set lets you fade from front and rear. Hope this sheds some light. This is how my old whip was hooked up.

What size power wire is powering your amp right now? Where is it fused?
If you have 4awg powering it you can use a fused distribution block or an un-fused distribution block and put inline fuses on each of the legs going to the amps. Run 2 sets of RCAs from the head unit to your amp. If you do this you can adjust your crossovers so the rears fill in more mid-bass and less highs and the fronts cover less mid-bass and more highs.
