BEST Amp Ground Location

Can anyone one tell me where would be the best amp ground location in the trunk for my amp?
It's suppose to be rated at 2000rms @ 2ohms. Everything is tight I double checked but for some my amp cuts off at medium volume.
2 12 kicker L7 dvc 2 ohm- each speaker is wired in series inside the box and parallel outside of the box creating a 2 ohm load on the amp.
2003 coupe
Alpine mrp2000
Knu Konceptz 1/0 cca kit
Mechman 240a Alternator
Autozone Platinum AGM Battery
Big 3 except for engine to chasis
Secure ground
PLEASE HELP

What gauge wire are you running to the subs? Where is your current ground? I'm assuming you sanded down to the bare metal?

Is your amp going into protect or completely shutting off. Have you hooked up a voltmeter?

Fwiw i just wired an amp and used the factory ground by the trunk latch. I sanded the paint off first though. Zero feedback.

Sorry guys I fixed the problem. The speaker wires were bad I guess. I changed them out and plays better than ever with no clipping or dimming lights. Thanks.
